Perfect for stock, bone broth, or soup. These are our spent hens who laid eggs while spending the day foraging freely with quality of life that meets the standards for Animal Welfare Approved certification from A Greener World. They are not processed before their second laying cycle.
Our goal is for our chickens to get to act like chickens and for them to have all good days until the end. Our chickens are processed at Central Illinois Poultry Processing in Arthur, which is approved by A Greener World. This meat is USDA inspected.
This meat won't cook up well for roasted or fried chicken, but with low, slow cooking the flavor is amazing. Definitely worth a try.
